Why Crooked Furrow™?
The name Crooked Furrow™ is inspired by a moment from founder Joel Kath’s childhood. While talking with Joel and his brother Jay, their grandfather—an experienced farmer—shared a thought that always stuck: “You can get more yield from a crooked furrow than a straight one.” To show what he meant, he’d lay a string on the table in a winding line, demonstrating how a little curve could lead to more.

That idea became the foundation of the brand—an homage to doing things differently, embracing the unexpected, and finding richness in the unconventional.
